The building can be accessed from Panama Mall. Go through the double entrance doors, down a few steps, and turn right. (If you reach the main atrium, you've gone too far.) Go through a single glass door and then Allison's office is the first door on your right.

Lab Location

The CHARM Lab is located in the Mechanical Engineering Research Laboratory (MERL): Building 660 Rm 126

The building can be accessed from either the pedestrian Panama Mall or Santa Teresa St. Outside business hours, and the doors may require card key access.

Campus Map and Parking

The lab building is identified as "Mechanical Engineering Laboratory" (MERL) on the searchable campus map. Allison's office building can be found on map apps by searching for "d.school".

This map indicates parking locations. Parkmobile app-metered spots are available on Santa Teresa behind the MERL building (Parkmobile zone 7231 on map), but are commonly full. The Tresidder Union lot (Parkmobile zone 7239 on map) is generally more open. The Roble field garage is also convenient and is located at Parkmobile zone 7210 on the map. The Via Ortega parking garage, located at Via Ortega and Panama Street (Parkmobile zone 7202 on map) is another option. You can find additional campus maps here.

Public Transit

If you are coming from Palo Alto or Caltrain, the Marguerite Free Shuttle is a convenient way to get to the lab. Take the A line and get off at Main Oval or take the B line and get off at Terman.
